About Greer Chapel:
Greer Chapel is a nondenominational ministry sponsored by Desert Pines Baptist Association (DPBA) in Snowflake, AZ as part of their regional White Mountain Resort Ministry begun in 1986. DPBA sponsored services are held in five area RV parks and resorts from June through September each year, led by unpaid volunteer pastors who serve both local residents and vacationers.
Ministry in Greer began in 1990 when a backyard Bible club was held. Worship services were held sporadically from 1991-1995 when Greer Chapel was formally created. Bill & Dot Hutchison served for 15 years as the original pastoral staff from 1995 until 2010. In 2010 Carl and Keiko Hogue took over the reins of Greer Chapel until 2013. From 2014 until 2015 Ed & Lee Berger served as the pastoral staff at Greer Chapel and in 2016 “retired” missionaries Bob & Jo Ann Tolliver began leading Greer Chapel.
Jo Ann, a native Tusconan, and Bob, a Grand Canyon University grad (Phoenix) met in 1957 when Bob’s father became pastor of a Tuscon area church Jo Ann’s family helped to plant. After 59 years of ministry in the US Caribbean, South America, South Pacific, and Europe Bob and Jo Ann now serve Greer Chapel.
Because Greer Chapel is a volunteer ministry, offerings and donations received are used to rent the Greer Community Center and to cover other administrative expenses; and are greatly appreciated. Tax-deductible contributions by check should be payable to DPBA. All offerings and donations extend Greer Chapel and DPBA resort ministries. Thank you for your faithful support.
