From June to August, these activities may be offered weekly at the Greer Community Center, depending on Covid-19 regulations.

Women’s Bible Study: 10 – 12pm

Meetings take place at member’s houses or at the Community Center.  Check weekly schedule for details.

Winter Sports

Greer AZ is less than 10 miles from Sunrise Park Resort, a year-round destination for skiers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.  During the winter, the resort’s three mountains offer excellent alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, tubing, and snowboarding.

The Little Colorado, which runs through the heart of Greer AZ,  is a paradise for stream fishermen and women.  The nearby Greer Lakes are also renown for their Rainbow, Brown, and Apache Trout.

For those who love hunting big game, you can find elk, deer, fall turkey, fall javelina, bighorn sheep, fall bison, fall bear, and mountain lion.  For small game, Greer boasts pheasants, quail, partridge, cranes, cottontail rabbits, and tree squirrels.

  • Butterfly Lodge Museum

The Butterfly Lodge Museum is a 100+ year old house museum listed on The National Register of Historic Places and located in the heart of Greer AZ.  Discover the history of its two residents, the author James Schultz and his son Hart Schultz aka Lone Wolf.

  • Casa Malpais Archaeological Park & Museum

In nearby Springerville, you will find Casa Malpais Archaeological Park & Museum, which features artifacts, an astronomical calendar, a great kiva, ancient stairways, and rock art from the Mogollon culture.  Guided tours are available March through November.
